If you haven’t read it, I think Orson Scott Card’s Speaker for the Dead would interest you. Even in the preface he talks about how when we only speak of the goodness of those we’re mourning, we kill them a second time, because we’re not mourning the person they truly were. I like the idea of honoring the good and the bad. Thank you for sharing your ideas for a more honest celebration of life.
